Justin joined Spreedly as CEO in 2011. He has driven Spreedly’s dramatic expansion through a successful pivot and evolution of the company’s go-to-market strategy. He led the company's fundraising of $75 million from Spectrum Ventures to accelerate Spreedly's growth strategy. He combines a technical background with expertise in sales and customer experience.

Justin began his career in the Bay Area and joined an early stage startup as their first technical support employee. During his tenure, the company grew from 40 to 400 in three years, went public, and was acquired. He was steadily promoted through business development, direct sales, and then onto the senior management team before a successful exit. He subsequently joined SafeNet as VP of Sales for the Americas prior to moving to NC. He lives in the Triangle with his wife and two daughters and can be frequently seen speeding down roads and trails on his bike.

As President, Peter leads all go-to-market initiatives for Spreedly including marketing, sales, partnerships, customer success and support. He works across all levels of the P&L to drive growth and deliver innovation to our customers and partners.

Peter joined Spreedly from Lightspeed Commerce, a platform powering omnichannel experiences for 168,000 independent merchants around the world. An early employee, he held multiple roles in go-to-market, serving as GM & EVP of one of two major operating divisions. He has extensive experience leading and scaling global teams to drive new revenue and product innovation.

Peter is a prodigious tinkerer, in his off-work time he enjoys working with his hands, and especially working on projects with his kids. He loves the outdoors and values the power the outdoors has on health and wellbeing. Beyond enjoying time with his family, Peter is an avid foodie with a love for restaurants and the opportunities they create for people to connect.

Serving as Chief Financial Officer, Nellie’s role is to implement the overall financial strategy and determine the financial health of the business. This requires execution of the operating plan and making certain that strategic and tactical decisions are data driven. Nellie is responsible for accounting, finance, legal and business operations, which encompasses financial reporting and audit, revenue, cost and cash forecasting, corporate legal compliance, as well as company capitalization strategy to ensure funding for Spreedly’s growth. 

Nellie started her career in investment banking and quickly moved into the technology sector. She supported several SaaS businesses as head of finance in various industries including sports television, banking software, and sales enablement before joining payments at Spreedly in 2017. Nellie has more than 15 years of experience as a finance professional, with 10+ in the SaaS world. When not at Spreedly, Nellie assists her partner with the business side of their Durham-based bar (Annexe), while making sure she has the time to travel, keep up with the latest design and fashion trends and spend time with family. 

As Chief Technology Officer, Mike Rivers leads architecture, application engineering, infrastructure, and information security at Spreedly. His team's key technology initiatives include driving innovation, ensuring secure and scalable systems, and standardizing technical processes to support global growth.

With over 25 years in fintech and payments, Mike brings a wealth of experience from working with early-stage PE-backed companies and scaling them to success. His tenure includes significant roles at Paymetric culminating in its acquisition by Worldpay, and at Oversight, where he implemented AI-driven fraud management solutions.

Mike is an avid car enthusiast with a collection of classic cars and enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with his family. 

As Senior Vice President of People, Dana is responsible for leading all People Operations functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance coaching, compliance, employee engagement, policy implementation, and training and development.

Dana's tenure at Spreedly has included work as an account manager on the new customer acquisition team and the customer success team, where she was responsible for engagement with customers through trials, testing, and onboarding. Prior to Spreedly, Dana found her passion for the Triangle’s technical community after joining The Iron Yard Durham, an immersive computer programming boot camp. As Director, she supported over 150 developers with career support to acquire local tech jobs by building a robust Triangle-focused employer advisory board. Dana has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Salem College, NC.

She lives in the Triangle with her wife and son and spends time exploring plant-based cuisine.

As Vice President of Product, Joe manages Spreedly’s products from strategy to launch. He is responsible for the product’s vision and growth, and for ensuring that it aligns with the company’s business goals.

Joe’s 30 year career as a product and technology leader began with payment innovation in education fintech. He has designed and built multiple market leading payment facilitation platforms serving the needs of schools, colleges and universities. During this time the complexity of diverse merchants and global expansion led to a passion for payment orchestration and his tenure at Spreedly.
